Han Rui graduated with LL.B (Hons) Second Upper Class in Bachelor of Laws from Cardiff University, United Kingdom in 2015 and completed her Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) in 2016. Thereafter she was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2017.
Upon her admission to the Malaysian Bar, she began her legal career as a Legal Associate in Messrs Shook Lin & Bok in the areas of corporate and commercial, particularly in merger and acquisition, capital markets and securities law. 
 
Han Rui joined the firm in 2020 and her practice area primarily focuses on family and matrimonial disputes. She has handled highly contentious matrimonial and divorce matters involving issues such as child custody, maintenance claims for spouse and children, division of matrimonial properties and assets and damages for adultery against adulterer or adulteress.
Aside from her primary area of practice, Han Rui is also experienced in a wide range of civil and commercial litigation, including debt recovery, contractual disputes, construction disputes, landlord and tenant disputes, bankruptcy, winding up and general civil litigation. 
 
Han Rui is able to converse fluently in English, Mandarin, Malay and Hokkien language.
