Mediation

What is Mediation?
Mediation is a form of Alternative Dispute Resolution (i.e. alternative to litigation). Mediation is usually conducted by the Court Mediator or Judge to resolve and reconcile disputes between the parties and to assist the parties to negotiate a settlement. If consensus settlement is reached between the parties for all issues raised in the application or proceeding, then the terms will be recorded in a Consent Order. If no settlement is reached the Judge will fix a date for Trial
